The heating process gives the surface resistance to oxidation and a certain brightness. A thin wall BA tube is a bright annealed tube whose wall thickness is small relative to its outside diameter — down to 0.2mm (0.008") at Harmonypipe. The thin wall construction reduces weight, improves heat transfer efficiency, and lowers material cost, while the BA finish keeps the bore clean, smooth and oxidation-resistant.

1. 2507 (S32750) is a super duplex stainless steel; the EN designation is 1.4410 (X2CrNiMoN25-7-4).
2. 2205 (S31803) and S32205 share the EN 1.4462 designation; S32205 is the modern variant with tighter N control.
3. Hastelloy C-22 (UNS N06022 / EN 2.4602) is a Ni-Cr-Mo alloy with high resistance to oxidizing and reducing media.
4. Hastelloy C-276 (UNS N10276 / EN 2.4819) is the most widely used Ni-Cr-Mo alloy; often called the "universal" corrosion-resistant alloy.
5. Monel 400 (UNS N04400 / EN 2.4360) is a Ni-Cu alloy with excellent resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid, and reducing media.
6. Inconel 600 (UNS N06600 / EN 2.4816) is a Ni-Cr-Fe alloy with outstanding high-temperature oxidation resistance (up to 1100°C) and resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
7. Incoloy 800 (UNS N08800 / EN 1.4876) is a Ni-Fe-Cr alloy offering good high-temperature performance at lower nickel content; widely used in petrochemical furnace tubes and heat-treatment equipment. Variants: 800H (N08810 / 1.4958), 800HT (N08811 / 1.4959).
8. GH3030 (GB/T 14992) is a Chinese national-standard solution-strengthened Ni-Cr base superalloy; originally developed from Russian EI435. Main composition: Ni bal., Cr 19~22%, Ti 0.15~0.35%. Service temperature up to 800°C; good oxidation resistance, formability and weldability. Used in aero-engine combustors, afterburners and high-temperature structural parts. It has NO direct UNS/ASTM/EN equivalent (marked "—"); performance is similar but not identical to Inconel 600.
